I am sorry that I allowed so much time to elapse since my last post; especially considering the serious nature of the last post. Thank you to all of you who wrote such kind e-mails and posts in the Forum wishing Danny well. I am so grateful for your love and support!
I am pleased to say that Danny is doing well. We went to the doctor last week for a checkup. Kathy and I were worried when we saw the x-rays because the three vertebrae that are fractured are squished and bulging. The doctor said that they will never regain the original shape but he should make a full recovery...but then he gave him another 6 weeks of confinement.
Danny's going a little stir crazy. He seems pretty depressed too. Today was the first day of school. We're hoping that he will snap out of it when he sees his friends. Thank you again for your prayers and support! We feel very fortunate and very blessed.
I received a really fun e-mail from Rob recently that I just had to share:
"Hey Dan,
Just a quick note to let you know how Cook'n is doing great things. I have a man here in Myrtle Beach that does great woodwork. I have him make 4x6 recipe boxes that look like the old pirate treasure chest with a mahogany finish. I fill them with 600 of my best recipes from my Roberts Family Cookbook on the Dutch oven recipe cards. Let me tell you, I am not bragging, but it looks AWESOME!!!! I have made several of these for my family and friends. I made this one for a church auction to be auctioned off to send our youth on a ski trip this winter. When it was auctioned off it went for $500.00, that is enough to send 2 kids on the trip for the ones that can't afford it. I just want to thank you again for making such a GREAT product, not only has it helped me a great deal, but also helping others. I had two more church members tell me if I would make two for them, they would pay for 4 more kids to go. Is that a blessing or what? Cooking has always been a great hobby of mine and with your great software and recipe cards and my recipes, boy did that make us a winner again. Thanks again buddy. Have a great evening. Rob"
I asked him to send a photo of his recipe card box. I am anxiously waiting for the photos of the finished box. Way to go Rob!! :)

I just want all of you guys out there that does not know what kind of man Dan is, to fill you in a little. When I sent Dan this email I was just letting him know how good and what a great product he had made and how it was helping others. Well most of you know how I feel about Cook'n, but Dan has always been there for me, from when I first got Cook'n, when it was not working properly. No president of a company has never done that before for someone he did not even know, but this president did. Dan makes you feel like you are a family member not just a number. I just want to let you know what a wonderful thing Dan did. He donated the recipe cards for me to finish my boxes so the youth in my church could go on the ski trip,I am head over the youth there. Now is that a man with "A HEART OF GOLD" or What? Those kids were in tears when I told them they could go. I could have never found a friend like Dan, I think he was truly Heaven sent. I don't know about you guys but I am PROUD to call Dan my friend. It is so hard to find men like that, that cares for his family, company , customers and friends like he does. Dan may our Heavenly Father Bless you for the way you look out for others. Thanks again Dan, you are the best.. Rob I can't wait for you to see the pictures of me on skis. For the ones that don't know I am a double below knee amputee. I told those kids I would try it if all of them kept there grade point average high. Wish me luck!!!!! I am sure all of them will have straight A's to see that.
